Confirmation name
I received a letter yesterday from the Church about our upcoming rites of initiation. We have the option of choosing a confirmation name. I had initially chosen Elizabeth Ann, to honor Elizabeth Ann Seton. The problem is, now I have too many choices. I'm torn between:- Rita, for St. Rita of Cascia.
- Joan, for Joan of Toulouse
- Clotilda, for St. Clotilda.
- Magdalen, for Mary Magdalen, for whom this blog is named. She interests me because of her contemplative life, and patron of converts.
- Teresa of Avila, poetess and Spaniard.
- Margaret of Cortona, patron saint of laywomen
- Juliana of Norwich
- Catherine of Alexandria
- Therese of Lisieux
- Bridget
- Sarai, the matriarch of the three faiths
